Silvana

This cafe is quite a unique addition to Northern Manhattan. It offers a variety of different options for your lifestyle. On the top floor of this eclectic and colorful place sits the Silvana Cafe. The upstairs/main floor had more of a chill coffeehouse vibe. They also offer a wide range of small gifts and handmade items (post card/greeting cards, jewelry, bags, etc.). Inside, you will find all sorts of people making use of the free wifi and tasty, yet affordable food. They boast a selection of Middle Eastern choices including falafel, hummus, and delicious baked goods. This is where you can get some work done and have a delicious meal as well. If it becomes late and you decide it’s time to go, there’s no problem with that. However, if you want to join the party, head downstairs to the speakeasy-like bar.

Oozing with cultural influences, there is a lot of African, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean art scattered everywhere. Silvana offers an exciting venue to hear live music from around the world, meet people from different cultures, and enjoy an ice cold beer. The live music starts at 6 but it doesn't usually get very full until 8-9. You can also continue to feast downstairs because there are so many plates to choose from, they don’t wanna limit you to one area for food. Depending on the night, you can hear as many as 3 or different types of music and spend the night dancing off all the food you just ate. Silvana is a very different style of cafe and bar, but every part of it is worth a trip.

Location: 300 W 116th St, New York, NY 10026
