WE ARE LOCAL

Uptown is one of the last frontiers of the "real" New York. We are rich with culture, delicious food, Mom & Pop shops, and gorgeous parks. But our secret is out, and we are now growing pretty quickly. However, that sense of community continues to be of the utmost importance to many of the clients and locals I speak with, both old and new.
Supporting your local economy is a big part of helping the community continue to thrive. Supporting businesses that are committed to the community is also important. Like Cafe Buunni's Wednesday after-school special where they provide discounts, art, tutors and more at their Broadway location in NorthEnd. Community is about showing up and giving back.
When you work with Sovereign Associates, not only are you working with an office with over 30 years focused on Uptown, but you are working with people who are part of the fabric of the community.
On the weekends you can find Seren (and sometimes Greg) diligently tending to the gardens along Pinehurst Avenue. We have Seren to thank for the increase in Butterflies in Hudson Heights- her Monarch Way Stations have made a difference and caught on with other gardeners in the area. Greg has been spotted painting over tagged mailboxes and I, myself, have enjoyed joining groups like We Run Uptown in street clean-ups. It's more fun than you might think.
We all have our favorite businesses around the neighborhood. Both Tampopo locations are office favorites. Adri loves a quick stop in Kuro Kirin for an afternoon pick-me-up in Inwood. A little later in the day you'll find Herve´ popping into Vines on Pine on 187th St. And if you see me at Tryon Public House with wing sauce all over my face and fingers, know I am in my happy place.
Any way you slice it (don't get me started on our beloved Fresco's!) when you support Sovereign, you support the local community. We are invested here, not simply for our bottom line but for our families, our friends, and our neighbors. We love uptown! Don't you?
